The CollegeCast was a totally new experience for me and I never would have done something like this if the lads
didn’t ask me. Paul Dylan Anthony Dean and myself created The CollegeCast. In
my own humble opinion I believe it worked out pretty well so far. I think the
reason it worked so well was because we all had a very different opinion on
almost everything. We all had our own independent thoughts.
Paul and
Dylan crated the website and it all began from there. The five of us got
together to host our first podcast. We didn’t exactly have the best equipment,
using just a laptop and mattresses for soundproofing. It was a start. In the
beginning we didn’t have much structure but eventually decided as a
group that if we
answered questions from listeners it would give our podcast a structure and
maybe a greater audience as we would be sharing out thoughts on topics they
would be interested in. We came a long way in a short time. From our very first
podcast to being featured on Itunes under new and noteworthy.
It was long
before we successful with a few sponsorship deals. We are sponsored by
JocksBox, Burritos & Blues Cork, and became friendly with a few nightclubs
in cork like The Savoy and The Bailey.
We are not
exactly sure as to what is going to happen next. We would hope to get bigger
and better but the future is on hold for now. Unfortunately we may not be as
close anymore with one of our co-founders has decided college is not for him
and another member restricted due to family circumstances. As soon as we have
our plan made we will let you know straight away, so stay tuned on Itunes,
